Clove – Issue 35

$7.99

It’s hard to believe another year has already passed by and the winter holidays are fast approaching.

This time of year, those of us living in the temperate zones have a hard time finding growth outdoors so we naturally turn to the herbs from tropical regions that are often found in our kitchen cabinets. Tropical herbs are often warming, bringing us a bit of their tropical warmth during the coldest times of the year.

Often tropical herbs are antimicrobial or at least antibacterial and antiviral, making them great herbs to turn to during cold and flu season. Clove fits well in this description, being both antiviral and antibacterial. This month you and your child(ren) will learn all about Clove’s many medicinal uses and try out some recipes that are both medicinal and culinary. Herbal ghees and butters are often overlooked for their medicinal worth so we will visit making a Spicy Ghee blend that is delicious and healing!
