Aloe – Issue 48

$8.99

This month we’ll journey to northern Africa, the continent Aloe is native to. Most people are familiar with Aloe as a supreme plant to have on hand in case of a burn and many of you probably have an Aloe plant somewhere in your house, in your kitchen maybe?!

Aloe has been used for thousands of years by Egyptians, Sumerians and others in the region. Aloe was hung in the doorways for protection and taken internally for digestive problems. It was used to treat skin conditions and much more. Today, we expand upon those uses and continue to use them as the ancient civilizations did. While Aloe leaves are no longer used as payment, they are still worth their weight in gold medicinally!
